How long do samples last?
90 days from the day of sample collection
What is your procedure for after the DNA samples are processed. Do they get stored or destroyed?
We typically store samples for two years. The patient/provider can provide a
written request that they get destroyed after testing but if they ever want to order additional testing, we will need a new sample.
We do not sell or share genetic information.
This report is only shared with your healthcare provider.
Privacy
Your genetic information will be kept private. We do not share or sell your data.
Fagron Genomics will test your DNA and share the results only with your healthcare provider.

Fagron Genomics is a CLEMA approved lab we maintain that standard for quality assurance. Thermo fisher open array. We do not publish in house clinical research but our reports come with definitions and citations. Accuracy was assessed by comparing OpenArray results to control DNA purchased from the Coriell Institute for Medical Research with known genotypes in the 1000 Genomes database. Genotyping data collected from validation samples were compared to expected genotypes for concordance.

Simple step-by-step
1. Receive kit
• After ordering, complete and sign the Test Requisition Form. If your test
needs a questionnaire, fill that out too.
2. Collect DNA
• Open the swab package and twist open the vial.
• Hold the swab by the stem — do not touch the tip.
• Swab the right cheek with a back-and-forth brushing motion while rotating
the swab for ~30 seconds. Repeat on the left cheek.
3. Send sample
• Put the swab back in the vial and close tightly.
• Apply the patient ID sticker lengthwise over the original tube label (do not
wrap).
• Place the vial in the biohazard bag, add the completed Test Requisition
Form, and put everything into the prepaid shipping envelope.
• Drop off at any USPS mailbox or post office.
4. Results
• Once the Fagron Genomics US lab receives and processes the sample,
your provider will notify you when results are available.
